Join us on Monday, July 18th at Bugg Farm for an Accelerator ‘Open House’ Field Day and tractor implement demonstration. Attendees will learn about the Accelerator Program while touring Bugg Farm to hear about their Accelerator-funded investments (a new wash/pack station and tractor implements). Afterward, watch an in-the-field demo on tractor implements, and hear from current and previous Accelerator farmers about their year-long experience in the program. Four Bellies Farm, a former Accelerator cohort member, will also be present and talk about their experience in the program.
Attendees will walk away with:
1. Understanding how to qualify for, apply, and utilize the Accelerator program in various ways
2. Outlining the considerations and uses for various tractor implements
3. Watching tractor implements being used ‘in the field’
4. Outlining considerations, cost-outs, challenges, and best practices for building a wash station
Come prepared with plenty of water, good walking shoes, and sun protection! B-Side Bagels and cold drinks will be provided. With applications for the opening on Monday, August 1 for the 2022-23 class, you won’t want to miss this Field Day!
