What is Good Food?

…and who decides how it’s defined?

Welcome to Good Food for Thought, Georgia Organics’ educational space for in-person and virtual convening and our platform for downloadable resources.

Through virtual and in-person gatherings, video series, and downloadable resources we explore the terminology equitable to regenerative to community to accessible to healthy to hands on and many more.

Now, more than ever, it is critically important to continue support small and organic farmers. One of the key ways we offer support is through education. The more we learn together as a community of farmers, teachers, eaters, and so many more groups working to improve our food system, the stronger we will be as a movement.

Good Food for Thought is our new educational initiative offering opportunities for continued learning and convening, year-round, through panel discussions and webinars along with video resources, digital toolkits, podcast episodes, and more. Within this space, we’ll continue to foster connection while also removing the geographic and financial barriers presented by traditional, in-person events.

Through our annual Conference, our aim above all has always been to foster community. Good Food for Thought will continue to carry this torch by providing virtual and, one day again, in-person spaces for coming together to grow a better, more equitable, and resilient food movement.

Resources for Farmers

The heart of Georgia Organics is our commitment to farmers. For our farmer community, we’re sharing all that we’ve learned, created, and gathered over the years.

Resources for Eaters

Some of us cook. Some of us garden. The one thing we have in common: we’ve all have to eat! So let’s eat the best of what our state has to offer!

Resources for Teachers

Whether you educate Georgia’s children at a school, an early care center, or at your home, we have resources to help plant the seeds for lifelong learning and healthy eating. You’re never to young to begin healthy habits, which is why we’ve created a library of lessons and activities to engage and inspire children from ages 3 to 18.

Even though we can’t get together like we used to doesn’t mean that we can’t still share, learn and grow. Community is more important now than ever. We’re looking forward to seeing you at our next event!

Without farmers, we don’t eat.

Fresh, healthy, and safe food is needed now more than ever, so we must ensure that small and organic farmers have the resources they need to thrive.
